SINGAPORE - They look like something from the National Geographic magazine.

But no, these gorgeous photos of an otter devouring its fresh catch were taken just for fun by local retired photographer Mohd Ishak, and posted on his Facebook page.

Otters have become somewhat of an icon (and at times, a nuisance) in Singapore, and are commonly spotted in reservoirs and parks from Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to Sentosa.

The otter in Mr Ishak's photos was spotted at Changi Beach, and is among many wild animals beautifully photographed by the 56-year-old. After spending three hours there yesterday morning (Feb 13), he also managed to capture the majestic moment an eagle scooped up a fish from the sea.

Mr Ishak told AsiaOne that he had always been interested in wildlife photography, but never had the time to fully explore it until recently.

He travelled for two months since retiring in December, and decided to work on his long-time passion after returning to Singapore.
